Time for Miracles – Becoming Miracle Minded Vol 2
Discover Dr. Bill Winston’s powerful teachings on becoming Miracle Minded, where supernatural acts of God are the expected norm, not the exception. This comprehensive guide, based on deep biblical truth and the principles of the Kingdom, reveals how to align your thinking and faith to override time, space, and matter, accessing immediate breakthroughs for health, finance, and destiny fulfillment.
1. The Miracle Mindset: Overriding Time and Limits
Dr. Bill Winston defines miracles as supernatural acts of God that override time, space, and matter. The first step to achieving a miracle mindset is getting your thinking right. Believers must understand that miracles have no time.
- Miracles as the Rule: Miracles should not be the exception for the believer; they should be the rule. This is the essence of living eternal life.
- Proof of Jesus: Miracles serve as proof that Jesus lived and that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- Crazy Faith: When you receive miracles, you gain crazy faith. You will start saying, doing, and expecting things that nobody else thinks can happen.
2. Overcoming Bondage: The Urgency of Miracles Now
The current time is urgent; it is time for miracles. Dr. Winston warns that the absence of miracle manifestation leads to bondage.
- Signs of Bondage: Without miracles, the church risks being the tail instead of the head and the borrower instead of the lender.
- The Enemy’s Strategy: The enemy deliberately tries to keep believers from being miracle minded. This strategy keeps them in bondage to a system that steals from them and keeps them broke.
- The Lack of Teaching: Many of God’s people have gone without what they need to fulfill their mandate because they have not been taught miracles. Consequently, they haven’t expected a miracle.
3. Activating the Supernatural: Faith, Decree, and No Limits
God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think. The activation of this power requires deliberate alignment with God’s Word.
Planting New Trees (Belief System)
Jesus came to plant new trees in the believer’s life. The lack of production or results in the spirit is often because the tree is not there to produce it.
- Rooting Up Unbelief: Jesus declared that “every plant in you which my Heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up”.
- The Role of Unbelief: Jesus could do no mighty works in his own hometown mainly because of their unbelief. You are designed to believe something; the key is ensuring your belief is lined up with truth.
- The Qualifier: Faith is the qualifier for miracles. Faith comes by hearing the Word.
Overriding Time and Space
Miracles are guaranteed to override the limitations of the natural world:
- Stopping Time: If a miracle is working, it will stop time until the miracle is complete. This is demonstrated by Joshua stopping the sun and moon until the battle was won.
- No Limits: When you step into miracles, you step into no limits. You can plan on as much as you need and God will supply it.
The Power of Confession and Decree
Believers must be accountable for what they heard and apply the Word through decree.
- Prophetic Forecasting: When the author was at IBM, he decreed that he would have so much business he couldn’t put it all on the books. By the end of the day, business was coming from everywhere and he was booking enough business for other managers. This is the power of making a decree.
- Devils Subject: The result of learning and working miracles is that even the devils are subject to us through thy name.
4. Biblical Proof of Supernatural Living
The Bible is a miracle book, containing numerous examples confirming that miracles are the expected standard.
Moses: Taught by God
Moses was personally taught miracles by God before facing Pharaoh.
- He demonstrated the power by throwing down his staff, which turned into a serpent. When Pharaoh’s sorcerers replicated the serpent, Moses’ serpent ate up theirs. This was a picture of Jesus on the cross, consuming all sin and rising again.
- Moses later stretched out his staff and the Red Sea parted, leading to the drowning of Pharaoh’s army.
Miracles of Provision and Fertility
- Aaron’s Rod: When selecting a leader, God placed the staffs of tribal leaders in the tabernacle of witness. The next morning, Aaron’s rod had budded, sprouted branches, leaves, blossoms, and almonds (fruit), all without being planted in the ground, sunlight, or water.
- Isaac in Famine: God told Isaac not to go to Egypt during a famine. Isaac then sowed in that land—a land where there was no rain—and received a hundredfold the same year. God does not need rain; God needs a believer.
Jesus: Healing Without Limits
Jesus demonstrated that with miracles, there is no limit. When people brought the blind, diseased, and maimed, Jesus healed all of them.
