How To Be Led By The Lord (Full Sermon)

The foundational message of the gospel centers on God’s profound and unconditional love for humanity, a love that guarantees guidance, healing, and spiritual transformation. According to the teachings presented in the sources, true Christian living hinges not on an individual’s love for God, but solely on God’s immense love for them. This realization shifts an entire perspective and allows faith to work like never before.

The Secret to Receiving Answers: Just Because You Love Me

When seeking guidance, wisdom, or divine intervention, a powerful approach is to incorporate a specific phrase into prayer: “Just because You love me”. This phrase is described as five words of grace that should express the heart, not be used mechanically or as a magic formula.

Leaning on Immovable Love

Relying on God’s love provides an unshakeable foundation. The sources contrast this with depending on one’s own love for the Lord, which “sways like the winds”.

  • This principle is illustrated by the Apostle John, who was constantly conscious of being “the disciple whom Jesus loved”. When he needed a private answer from Jesus regarding the betrayal, he received it by leaning back on Jesus’s breast, a physical act symbolizing laying claim to Jesus’s love.
  • In contrast, Peter (representing those who boast of their own efforts/love) felt distant and had to motion to John to ask the question.

This faith-filled reliance on divine affection is the key to activating the Lord’s intervention, allowing Him to serve His people and grant their requests.

The Gift of Righteousness and Reigning in Life

The core of the Gospel is the understanding of righteousness by faith, which means believing on God who justifies the ungodly.

Justification for the Ungodly

God does not wait for a person to become godly or holy before justifying them. The foundation for a holy God to justify a sinful person is the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus was made sin for us so that believers “might be made the righteousness of God in Him”.

  • This righteousness is a gift, not a reward based on efforts or works. If righteousness were based on work, the reward would be “reckoned of debt,” not grace.
  • Those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness are promised they “will reign in life by Jesus Christ”. This means ruling over sin and other problems that currently seem to rule over them.

Supernatural Healing: Confessing “As He Is”

The gift of righteousness empowers believers to confess their health and wholeness based on Christ’s current, glorified state.

  • Believers should confess, “As He is, so also are we in this world”. This confession applies to health, strength, and immunity.
  • Jesus is currently seated at the Father’s right hand, “crowned with glory and honor” and free from disease. Confessing, for example, “Jesus doesn’t have diabetes now in heaven, so as He is, so am I in this world,” has led to breakthroughs and healing.
  • Believers are also seated with Christ far above every sickness, disease, and virus.

Powerful Testimonies of Healing and Deliverance

The sources share multiple, specific instances of supernatural healing that occurred recently:

  1. Vanished Growths: A sister in Singapore was diagnosed with two new growths and shadows in her annual checkup. During a service, Pastor Prince prayed for those with tumors, declaring that God would heal them and they should return to the doctor and “find them no more”. Two days later, a follow-up scan confirmed the two growths were completely gone, surprising the doctor.
  2. Lump Disappeared: Another sister had a noticeable lump on her left jaw. During the service, when healing was called out specifically for growths or tumors in the mouth or gums, she received the healing, and the lump completely disappeared.
  3. Baby’s Health: A six-month-old son started vomiting multiple times. During the morning service, the baby was mentioned specifically, with the assurance that God would make the baby well. When the baby woke up, he was “extremely joyful and active”.
  4. Abdominal Growth Cleared: A sister from New Zealand experienced pain and discovered a growth below her rib cage. She prayed and consistently partook in the Holy Communion. During an online service, Pastor Prince specifically addressed a recent growth below the rib cage, matching her condition precisely. She received the word and the subsequent ultrasound reported no growth detected in her abdomen.
  5. Addiction Breakthrough: A 26-year-old brother from France was addicted to masturbation and pornography for 10 years. He gained complete freedom from his addictions by realizing that Jesus loves him and that God sees him as “His righteousness in Christ Jesus”. He experienced the loss of all desire for sin, which is described as true deliverance through the Holy Spirit.

The New Commandment and the Washing of the Feet

Jesus gave His disciples a new commandment in the upper room: “Love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another”. This new command contrasts with the old law, “Love your neighbor as yourself”. The new commandment is founded on the believers first understanding how much Christ loved them.

Symbolic Daily Cleansing

Jesus’s final act before the cross was washing the disciples’ feet, which is symbolic.

  • The Bath (Salvation): Once a person is “bathed” (saved/regenerated by the Holy Spirit), they are “completely clean,” and this bath cannot be repeated.
  • The Feet (Daily Walk): However, because believers walk in the world and are exposed to profanities, negativism, and unbelief, their “feet” (their daily walk) become dusty and defiled. This requires daily cleansing.
  • The Washing: The washing of the feet is symbolic of being cleansed by the water of the Word through reading the Bible or hearing a Christ-centered sermon.
  • The Towel (Righteousness): After washing, Jesus wiped the feet with the towel He wore. The towel, or “lention” (linen cloth) in Greek, symbolizes the righteousness of the saints. When ministering the Word, one must dry the feet by ensuring people leave feeling righteous in Christ, not guilty or dirty.

The sources encourage believers to perform this spiritual “foot washing” for others—family, friends, or strangers—by sharing something about Christ that inspires them and reminds them of God’s glory.

Decision Making and Spiritual Security

The Lord has given all things into the hands of believers because they are in Christ and are joint heirs with Him. This security enables humility and love towards others, knowing one’s worth.

For making decisions, the Old Testament practice of David inquiring of the Lord using the High Priest’s ephod (breastpiece) demonstrates that guidance is found by looking at God’s heart of love.

  • The breastplate was used “for making decisions” and contained 12 precious stones representing the 12 tribes of Israel, symbolizing how God carries His people on His heart.
  • The Urim (lights) and Thummim (perfection) were placed in the breastpiece to facilitate clear answers.

By relying on the security of God’s love (like John leaning on Jesus’s bosom), believers can confidently ask for wisdom and receive guidance. This reliance leads to divine protection, as exemplified by a personal story where a specific prayer for protection from snakes led to the avoidance of a poisonous snake parked in the path.
