This Sacred Mindset Will Change Your Life Immediately
The journey of faith requires believers to see through the eyes of faith, not doubt, fear, or compromise. Jesus made an astonishing promise: “You can ask for anything in my name and I will do it,” so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. He reaffirmed this, emphasizing, “Yes, ask me for anything in my name and I will do it”. This powerful statement challenges believers to move past limitations and embrace the supernatural potential inherent in Christ’s teachings.
Rejecting Doubt and Explaining Away the Supernatural
Many Christians are tempted to explain away the supernatural elements of Jesus’ teachings, often disguising doubt and fear as “wisdom and balance”. We serve a God who can do “above and beyond what we can imagine,” and believers must stop trying to bring Him down to the level of human understanding. Fear, the fear of disappointment, can cause people to be afraid to believe and put their faith in God. It is time to rebuke the doubt, the liar, and the accuser and stand firm on the words of Jesus: “You ask anything in my name I will do it”.
The Vision of Faith: Seeing Heaven’s Armies
The story of Elisha and his servant in 2 Kings 6:15 illustrates the need to see through the eyes of faith. When the servant woke up and saw that they were surrounded by enemy troops, horses, and chariots, he panicked, thinking they had reached the end.
Elisha, however, prayed, “Oh Lord, open his eyes and let him see”. When the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire—heaven’s armies, demonstrating that there were more on their side than on the enemies’.
- God’s Perspective: Believers must learn to see in the spirit, from the perspective of God’s word and truth, knowing that even if a situation looks impossible, troubling, or dangerous, they can see that God is for them.
- Pathway Where None Exists: God sees the future and beyond human sight. Just as the children of Israel saw the Red Sea as a barrier, God saw a pathway, making a way where there seemed to be no way. Psalm 77:19 says, “Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters—a pathway no one knew was there”. God sees potential where humans see the end. God is capable of doing more in a single moment than a person can do in a lifetime.
Present Faith: Claiming the Miracle Now
We must remove the self-imposed limitations from our thinking and stop relying on the mindset of “one day” faith. While understanding God’s timing is important, adding a gap of time by saying “one day the miracle will come” is often a subtle way of protecting oneself from disappointment.
- Now Faith: God is not limited by human timelines; He who formed time cannot be bound by it. Instead of waiting for the material substance, believers should embrace present faith or “now faith”.
- Faith is the Substance: Hebrews 11:1 declares, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen“. If a believer can truly believe for the healing, deliverance, financial breakthrough, or saved loved ones, the faith itself is the substance, meaning it is “as good as mine”.
Obedience Requires Trading Ability for God’s Power
Jesus promised that “Anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done and even greater works because I’m going to be with the Father”. However, obtaining these results requires obeying instructions that depend upon faith, not human ability or strength.
The Jericho Principle
The story of Jericho exemplifies this principle. God gave Joshua an instruction that did not involve military strategy or special weaponry. Instead, they were told to march around the town once a day for six days, and on the seventh day, march seven times and shout at the sound of the ram’s horns.
- Faith Over Intellect: This instruction made no sense because it did not rely on their intellect, strength, or ability. God wanted the miracle accomplished according to their faith, so the glory would go to Him.
- Persistence Before Breakthrough: As they marched, the wall showed no signs of cracking or working. This persistence reveals that the most difficult days come just before the breakthrough. The feeling of exhaustion, being drained of resources, and hitting the wall is often the moment when breakthrough is just within reach. This tension, where the most severe symptoms or frustrating financial aspects appear, may be the last resort of the enemy before God turns it around.
Faith is the Exchange
Faith is defined as the exchange of your ability for God’s ability. When you believe, you step out of your strength and into God’s authority.
