You’re watching KCMI TV, and today, I want to share something that I believe is incredibly relevant to where we are spiritually and prophetically in our current time. In light of what God has done recently in our nation, it’s crucial that we understand what God is doing and where we stand. Knowing our spiritual position is vital, and today, I want to focus on being spiritually perceptive.
There’s a verse that reminds us that Jesus Christ will return at an hour we don’t expect. In other words, we’ll never be fully prepared for His return because every generation will be busy with their own lives, thinking it’s still years away. Yet, the Lord said He will return in a time we don’t anticipate. This shows us that God’s actions will often take us by surprise unless we are spiritually discerning.
I want to talk about being perceptive in the spirit. In Luke 21:34, it says, “Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.” The key word here is “unawares,” which means to be caught off guard. Jesus urges us to be vigilant and aware of the times, so His return doesn’t take us by surprise.
Over the past few years, it’s astonishing how unaware people have become of their surroundings. It’s like they develop tunnel vision and don’t notice what’s happening around them. This lack of awareness can leave us vulnerable to the enemy. To defeat the enemy, we must stay perceptive in both our natural and spiritual environments.
