I’m so happy to be here with you tonight. Before we get started, I want you to turn to the person next to you, look them in the eye, and introduce yourself as a genius. Ready? Let’s begin.

Now, I have a few questions for you. How many people here believe that the way you think can have an impact on your life? Do you believe your thoughts shape your reality?

Great! Now, how many of you woke up this morning and consciously created your future? The main reason most people don’t do this is because they don’t truly believe it’s possible. If you knew on a deep, gut level that this was true, would you ever miss a day of doing it? Would you ever let a thought slip by that you didn’t want to experience?

Your brain, according to neuroscience, is designed to reflect everything you’ve experienced in life. Your brain is essentially a record of your environment, an artifact of your past. So, if you believe this, then does your environment control your thoughts, or do your thoughts control your environment?

Consider this: When you wake up in the morning, do you get out of bed the same way you did the day before? Do you shut off the alarm clock with the same finger? Slip into your slippers? Shuffle into the bathroom and follow the same routine? Look in the mirror to remind yourself of who you are? Take the same route to work and see the same people? Perform the same tasks, and feel the same emotions? Rush home to check your emails and go to bed, only to do it all over again the next day?

Here’s the question: Did your brain change at all today? You’re thinking the same thoughts, performing the same actions, and creating the same experiences that produce the same emotions. Yet, you secretly expect something to change in your life, right?
