You Can Overcome Your Insecurity | Steven Furtick
What Insecurity Is Hiding Beneath the Surface of Your Life?
Have you ever considered that the worry you feel may actually be rooted in insecurity? Most of us don’t think of it that way. We ask for prayers, saying things like, “I’ve been worrying a lot lately.” But why? Because deep down, there’s a sense of insecurity.
You might say, “No, no, I’m just stressed because life is unpredictable.” But think about it—if you truly believed that God has already given you everything you need, wouldn’t that change your perspective? Jesus spoke about the birds of the air—they don’t store up food, yet God provides for them.
At times, we struggle to believe that we have what we need for the season we are in. Maybe you feel confident in one area of life but insecure in another. It’s like students who excel in school but feel out of place on the soccer field, or athletes who dominate on the field but struggle academically.
Here’s the truth: Everyone is lacking in something. It’s not a Bible verse, but it’s a fact—nobody is good at everything. But God created each of us with a purpose.
