I spent the past few days in the hospital—not because I was sick, but because we are in the process of adopting a little boy. He was born addicted to heroin and is now going through withdrawal. As we pray over him, we’re also lifting up so many other babies and people in similar situations. It has been an incredible experience, truly eye-opening.
Many of us might struggle to understand how a mother could make choices that lead to this. But the truth is, if she fully understood the consequences, she likely wouldn’t have done it. Yesterday, while sharing the Gospel with a nurse, she asked me an important question.
