dear god with everything going on in the world with all of the brokenness how is it that you have time to to talk with us to listen to us so often uh even our prayers are tainted with selfish motives of wanting comfort and and wanting uh an easy an easy road in in life but lord we we we recognize that you love us as your children and so you have more than enough time for all of us and that your desire for us is is not just to have smooth sailing in our life but to even sometimes bring affliction and challenge and trial

to us so that we will recognize that you alone are the source of blessing and that we will align our heart with your heart that we will align our words and our actions with your words and your actions and that and we will follow your lead as you direct our path we want to do your will lord not our will but your will be done and we ask this in jesus name amen so i love that uh that song that we were just listening to that was uh fernando ortega i don’t know if you’ve ever listened to much of him and and the gettys uh

keith and kristen they wrote this amazing modern hymn called in christ alone and another one the power of the cross and and uh they just sing beautiful beautiful hymns with such rich theology and and uh it’s just something that wakes up dead hearts and and and thrills those of us who know the lord so let’s continue uh in our our study of the very last chapter of the american covenant the untold story uh there have been thousands of you who have who have already um begun to set aside time to go through this book into your own house with your

friends and your family and i’m so excited about that that is my goal is i want this fire of revival to spread and as we go through this uh this material it uh it may be it’s maybe appropriate to have a quick word of clarification of something i said last night you know we’ve talked about this nation being a nation that was really founded on the principles of god’s word this is a judeo-christian nation and the very structure of our government comes out of the bible and that has been the secret sauce combined with the animating power of the

faith of our our forefathers and what’s important to understand here is that when we call this a christian nation in no way did our founding fathers envision okay this is important some kind of a legalistic theocracy again where where the church and the government are married tightly together and and they somehow wield power uh in one another’s interest uh and then ultimately forced that on the people that that was not their idea at all when they call this a christian nation this was not about forcing christianity
