You’re you’re talking about a spicy conversation. Crossing borders. You know, I remember crossing the border of Mexico when I was about 12 years old.
I was working on a TV show and my mom took me down there and uh it was uh kind of scary to be in a different country, but today crossing the border takes on all kinds of other significance and meaning. What made you pick this topic? Well, I number one, I think that this is a topic that’s all over the news right now when it comes to the ICE raids and the protests and the police and we’re seeing videos of people in ski masks grabbing people from Home Depot and putting them in the back of a van and taking off and I think a lot of
us are wondering what is happening. And I even know some people who have relatives and family members who are concerned about their friends and their family about what’s going to happen to them. >> Yeah. >> And I think it’s a interesting topic and I think that looking at it through a biblical lens also gives us insight of how we should live and what our opinion as Christians should be in this present day.
>> That’s right. It’s such a confusing topic for people because we want to be known as the family of faith who looks through a lens of compassion. We want to be hospitable uh in our homes, in our churches, and in our nation. But we also understand that borders are really important. God set borders for nations.
