Have you ever heard the dragon speak? Yes, you have. Every time someone came with you with gossip, with evil, with slander, with tearing down, with bitterness, with complaint, you’re faced with the dragon. I’m not saying them, but the spirit of the serpent [music] is using them on. Listen, so they can’t, well, he used Peter.
Yes, he could even use good people. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was formless and desolate, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit, the ru elohim, the spirit of God, was hovering over the surface of the water. Then God said, “Ye, let there be light, and there was light.
” God saw the light was good. Separated the light from darkness. God called the light day, the darkness night. There was evening, there was morning, one day. And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters. Let it separate from the waters.” And it goes on, “God said and it was.” God spoke and it was.
This is the first word of God. This is the record in the of the word of God. But this is God speaking in the word of God. This is the first thing he speaks recorded. There is the word and then there is life. There’s a word, there’s light. There’s word, and there’s creation. Now, if you’re in your Bibles, turn to just turn two chapters forward to Genesis 3, verse one.
Now, the serpent was more cunning than any animal of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God really said, “You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?” Now, the serpent representing the enemy, the serpent said, he spoke just as God spoke. Now, the enemy speaks the word of the serpent.
The Bible calls him the serpent. What are his first words? Think about it. The first words that are ever recorded in the Bible of the enemy speaking and the word is, “Has God really said?” Has God really said? What’s he doing? He’s attempting to nullify the word of God. Has God really said? In other words, what you think God said, did he really say it? He’s introducing doubt.
And to this day, that is what the enemy does to this day. It follows the very first thing he ever said recorded. He attacks the word of God. You can’t, you say, you can’t listen to the Bible. The Bible’s not really the word of God or it’s not all the word of God. It’s some the word of God. Has God really said, has God really said it? We’re witnessing today the attempt of the culture to silence truth, to silence conscience, to silence the people of God, to silence the gospel, to silence the word of God.
