Now, [music] let’s go into the message. Whenever there is stress in a society, the first thing to be affected are families. I want to begin this segment with a couple of statements regarding the family. First of all, the family is the most important institution on planet earth. It is not the government, nor the church, nor the schools, but it is the family that’s most important on earth.
As a matter of fact, the most important person in our lives is God himself. And the first institution God created was not the government, not the school, not even the church. The first institution God created was the family. The family is also the first community. This is why when you were born, you were born in the context of a community.
The family is the first community on planet earth. The family is also the key to national success. Let me put it this way. The family is the oldest institution on earth. It is older than government, older than the church, older than schools, the banks and other institutions that we celebrate so much. The family is also God’s ideal institution.
That means the family is really the cure for all of our social ills, all of our psychological challenges, all of our emotional problems in a country, and all of our spiritual ills. The family is the solution to all of our problems in our community. Also, the solution to all of our national problems is the family.
And we’ve got to go back and rediscover the family. We got to recover the family. Then we have to restore and restructure the family. I don’t think any institution has been battered and beaten, mutilated, destroyed and corrupted more than the family. The family in the 21st century is hanging on for dear life. As a matter of fact, the family is the key to a stable, productive, sensitive, and healthy nation.
