Don’t Lose Focus on the Promise God Placed on Your Life!

  • They always give you trophies and put you in the hall of fame and recognize you for what you ran to. What you ran from, but it’s not what you ran to. Your strength is always in what you were running from. God is talking, but the noise is a distraction for you to hear. Let the Bible say, “Let him that has an ear hear what the spirit is saying to the church.
  • ” But that will not happen if you do not stop the noise. [Applause] He allows distractions that he does not tolerate at the end. He goes to the marriage at Kaa and he goes there to attend a function and his mother comes up to him and says, “Lord, we’re running out of wine.” And he says,”Woman, what am I to do with thee? My hour has not yet come.
  • I’m not supposed to be doing this. This is not on my schedule. This not on my itinerary. But but Oh, bring the water. Bring the water. I I I’ll do it. I I’ll do it. I’ll just do it. I’ll do it. And so the marriage at Kaa, though I think it has biblical significance, and we’ll talk about that on another day, was really uh a distraction because his hour had not yet come.
  • This text starts out by saying that Jesus hour has now come. Do you know when it’s your hour? [Applause] the point and stage where things become valuable to you and become important enough to you that you cannot afford distractions. [Applause] He says, “My hour has come.” And in fact, I want to say just and it came to pass when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face.
  • [Applause] The time made him set his face to go to Jerusalem. Don’t don’t don’t look over that. The time made him set his face to go to Jerusalem. Because of what time it was, he had to focus. [Applause] There are some things that you can receive in life without focusing. But the greater blessing that God wants to release in your life cannot be done casually, superficially uh part-time uh with a spirit of indifference.
  • You in order to really step into the fullness of your purpose, you have to set your face. I’m surrounded by people all the time who have never set their face a day in their life. They have glanced at it. They have looked at it. They’ve taken pictures of it. They’ve done selfies with it. But they’ve never really stepped into their purpose.
  • They got little glimpses of it. They’ve hid at it like that. They they they’ve slapped it a couple of times, but they have never experienced how powerful you are when you set your face. Wonder what would happen if you would focus. The Bible says Jesus has set his face to go to Jerusalem. There’s no ambiguity.
  • There’s no confusion about it. It’s no more saying, “I’m going to go hang out at the well and wait on this woman to come down so we can talk to her.” No more. No more. No more. No more of that. No more of that. No. No more of him disappearing in the crowd and having to catch up with them by walking on the water to meet them on the boat.
