Thankful Thursday Blessings
Mornings can be a fresh beginning, but they can also be filled with anxious thoughts, quiet fears, and a heavy heart. Before the rush of responsibilities and expectations begins, it is important to pause and invite God into the start of the day.
This morning prayer is for anyone who feels overwhelmed, uncertain, or anxious. It is a gentle invitation to place every worry into God’s hands and begin the day rooted in His peace and presence.
Dear Heavenly Father,
in this quiet moment, I bring You my anxious thoughts,
my heavy heart,
and the fears that try to overwhelm me.
You see what is weighing on me,
even the things I cannot put into words.
You care deeply about every burden I carry.
Today, Lord, I lay it all at Your feet.
I release my worries into Your hands,
trusting that You are greater
than anything I am facing.
Replace my fears with faith
and my restlessness with Your perfect peace.
Help me to trust You more,
even when the path ahead feels uncertain
and I cannot see what comes next.
When doubt creeps in
and fear tries to take hold,
remind me that You are still in control.
Remind me that Your plans for me are good,
even when I cannot fully understand them.
Teach me to slow down
when my thoughts begin to race.
Teach me to pause, to breathe deeply,
and to remember that You are with me,
that I am safely held in Your hands.
Let Your truth anchor my heart:
that You are my refuge,
my strength,
and my ever-present help in times of trouble.
When the pressures of life surround me,
be the calm in my chaos
and the stillness in my storm.
Your Word says:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:6–7)
Let that peace settle over my soul right now.

My husband, Jim, rarely speaks of salvation or Jesus. He won\'t go to church and he has not led a reputable life. Pray for his salvation and the a knowledgement that he needs Jesus. He is 77 years old, but good health. He could serve Jesus for 20 more years.
