LIFT Daily Prayer: Day 213: The Lord Will Deliver Me
-
Hey, very very good morning. We are up and Lisa and I are on the move at this 500 a.m. hour. So, God bless you guys on this Thursday, July 31st. We are at um or we are should say we’re on our way uh to uh to Peru landing in Lima, Peru and then flying again into Cusco, Peru. And uh so we’ll be there for a couple of days giving Jesus to um a wonderful gathering of the In-N-Out Burger family, the management and of their uh their directors and uh vice presidents and managers of their fantastic stores.
-
For those of you who have never had an In-N-Out Burger, um you might want to try the experience. It’s a Christc centered icon of Southern California. But um so it is Thursday morning and we are about ready to fly and we’re here at LAX. And so um Thursday, July 31st and um 2 Timothy 4:18.
-
2 Timothy 4:18 says, “And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Wow. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen. What a tremendous passage that is. 2 Timothy 4:18 is the verse.
-
And so this is our verse for the day. So let’s pray that verse together, everyone. Lord, we come before you today and you know exactly what this Thursday holds. Before any calls come, before anyone speaks, before there’s any emails, before there’s any text, you knew all things, everything. All along the way, all day long, moment by moment, we your children will be guided by you. You will lead us.
-
You’ll be in our thoughts. In fact, the battleground today will be our minds as it is every day, the battle of the mind. And Lord, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and the powers and the rulers of the dark world. We wrestle against spiritual entities. And so, Lord, with that, how beautiful it is that you told us that.
-
You told us that in advance. We we need not be frightened or scared. Uh clearly you told us this that we might be confident. And so Lord, we pray that we would walk in that truth and revel in this incredibly encouraging verse. 2 Timothy 4:18. The Lord will deliver me. Lord, you will deliver us. You say so here.
-
You will from every evil work. Lord, thank you that there’s nothing evil that the enemy can throw at us that can defeat us. The only time we do get defeated is when we let the enemy in. And so Lord, we pray this day that we would hold off the enemy by not letting him in. That we would resist the devil steadfast and that we would run pursue Christ Jesus.
