let’s turn our bibles to matthew chapter six and i want you to write in your notes rediscovering god’s priority kingdom first this is part two we started part one last week and this is part two understanding god’s priority kingdom first i want to begin this morning and pick up where we left off last week by defining what priority is so you might want to write this down somewhere in your notes on the back of your bible what is priority and the word priority is important because it has to do with our focus today
and next week we’ll continue this talking about what is god’s priority a priority is first of all defined as the principle thing the principle thing secondly priority is defined as putting the first thing first putting the first thing first thirdly priority is defined as establishing what is most important what is most important and fourthly the word priority is defined as primary focus whatever you consider to be your primary focus would become your priority and fifth priority is defined as placing things in order of importance
priority usually is a result of many possibilities priority is a result of many alternatives priority is necessary because there are so many other things so priority is usually a choice among many at least the number six priority is defined as placing the highest value and worth upon something priority is placing the highest worth or the highest value on something that becomes your priority that is why somebody would perhaps buy a nike shoe for 150 bucks but they would put 50 in the offering number seven priority is defined as
