“He Won’t Look Like a Monster…” He Will Look Like a PASTOR
Brothers and sisters, we are living in perilous times. The age we live in is not defined by confusion. It is defined by deception. And deception is not always ugly. Sometimes it wears a suit, carries a Bible, and speaks smooth words from a pulpit. Sometimes the Antichrist won’t show up with horns and smoke.
He will look like a pastor. He’ll talk about love, unity, and peace. But he will twist the truth and lead many into destruction. The question is not will he come. He’s already among us in spirit. The real question is are you ready for the truth? One of the greatest deceptions facing the modern church is not the outright denial of Christ, but the subtle redefinition of who Christ is.
The enemy has never needed to pull down the cross. He only needs to replace the one who hung on it. The Antichrist spirit doesn’t march in with a red flag and announce rebellion. No, he comes dressed in robes, quoting scripture, preaching with emotion and zeal, but quietly and skillfully twisting the image of Jesus until he no longer resembles the one found in the pages of God’s word.
This redefinition of Christ is far more dangerous than open atheism because it wears the disguise of truth. It offers the comfort of religion with none of the demands of righteousness. Instead of presenting Jesus as Lord, Savior, Judge, and King, the false teacher introduces a Jesus that merely affirms this version of Jesus is culturally relevant, socially acceptable, and universally liked.
He asks for no repentance, never confronts sin, and always agrees with you. This Christ does not warn of hell, does not speak of wrath, and never mentions the cross except as a vague symbol of love. But this is not the Christ of scripture. This is a cleverly crafted imitation designed to appeal to the flesh and avoid offense. It’s not a new tactic.
