The Hardest Battles Are Given to God’s Strongest Women

And so often I hear the question whispered, not with defiance, but with a heart that’s simply weary. It’s a question that sounds like a sigh. Why me? If God has given me a measure of strength, if I’ve tried to be faithful, then why does the path seem to get steeper and the battle fiercer? Oh my friend, I want you to see something tonight.

I want you to see from a heavenly perspective. You must understand this first great principle that the very strength God is building within you is the very reason you find yourself on a battlefield that would cause others to flee. God does not assign his finest soldiers to garrison duty in peaceful towns. No, he stations them on the front lines where the enemy’s assault is most intense because the outcome of the battle there is of supreme importance.

You are not in this hard place because you are weak. You are there because heaven has recognized a strength in you. A strength you may not even see in yourself that is equal to the task. Think of it this way. You would not send a novice to negotiate a treaty for the fate of nations. You would not hand the keys to a simple family sedan to a race car driver destined for the Grand Prix.
