So today we’re talking about is it wrong to question what you believe and why you believe that? >> Meaning your faith and just the Bible and what it teaches. >> Have there ever been points in your life where you have questioned your faith? >> Absolutely. Remember I came out of atheism. So I started my faith in Christ by questioning my religion of atheism.
I I tell people today, I’m a recovering atheist and if it weren’t for me questioning my beliefs as an atheist, I never would have stepped into the light of the truth. And I’m hoping that every pagan that I meet, every person trapped in a false religion will also question their faith so that they can come to the freedom that’s found in Christ.
And I also think it’s really important that I continue to question my faith and what I believe so that I know not only what I believe but why I believe it. And I know that’s what we’re going to talk about today. >> Yeah. No, I think I have a similar uh journey to finding God where it’s interesting because you’re essentially a professional Christian and we grew up in the church and surrounded by Christians.
But my faith journey took a lot of questions and it was a long process of working through those things and hearing the other sides and the other arguments to come to where I’m at now in my belief and in my faith. Um >> James, I want to jump in just real quick if you don’t mind and just say to you moms and dads who are out there, um I know you want your kids to ask you all their questions about your faith.
And James, I want you to ask me all your like what do you mean you had questions? What do you mean you had questions? I want you to bring them to me because I’ve studied this so much and I’ve had so many of my own questions. I I’ve often said that like I’ve got this like almost like a 30-day um rhythm and cycle of doubt that I have dealt with up until probably the last 10 years where I’ve kind of gotten to the to the end of my big list of questions.
