Pastor Candy Christmas | God Qualifies The Called

  •  Hi, I’m Pastor Candy Christmas of Regeneration Nashville and I’m so happy to have this time together with you today. Uh if no one’s told you they love you yet, I want to be the first. I love you and I’m so glad you’re here. I want to talk to you uh today uh about something that I have in my spirit.
  • Uh it’s really the greatest revelation that I have ever found as a uh as a minister uh walking with the Lord. Of course, you know, the revelation of Jesus Christ and the blood of the lamb, forgiveness of sins, there’s nothing that can surpass that. But as a believer and as a minister uh operating in the gifts of the spirit and walking in authority in my life, this revelation has been uh just a godsend for me.
  • And I just want to share with you a little bit. Uh if I had a title to this message, it would be God qualifies the called. You know, you can read uh throughout uh from Genesis to Revelations and you see where God calls ordinary people. He calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things. He calls us to do things that we’re really not equipped to do.
  • And there’s a design for that. So that we have to depend on the power of the Holy Ghost. Uh Paul said, “Oh, that I may know him in the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings.” And so we all want the resurrection power of the Holy Ghost operating in our lives. And so when I got this revelation, um it it was very liberating for me because I thought that I had to have the power that Candy Christmas had to be extraordinary that I had to just, you know, be this tower of strength. But yet, the more I
  • serve God and the older I get, the wiser I become, I realize that I have no strength. I have no strength outside of the Holy Spirit. So, God qualifies the called. Let me let me just uh finish that sentence. He doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called. So, I want to read a very familiar portion of scripture and hopefully maybe you haven’t read it in a while and you will just enjoy uh hearing it and reading it with me.
  • We’re going to read from Ephesians chapter 6 and we’re going to uh start at verse 10. And I don’t really have to read all of this passage, but I just like it. So, let’s just read it together. Okay. Uh, finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
  • For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day. and having done all to stand to stand firm.
