LIFT Daily Prayer: Day 338: Through Impossible Seas

  • And good morning to all of you today. Exodus 14:29, friends. Exodus 14:29, a very encouraging, short, powerful declaration. Before I read it to you, uh, the Bible, I love how the Bible declares it just like it does Genesis 1:1. In fact, there are a lot of people who struggle with this miracle that I’m about to read to you and we’ll pray the spirit of it all.
  • It’s funny to me that they claim to believe in Genesis 1:1, but they stumble over Exodus 14:29. And it’s it’s strange to me because there are those who claim to believe in God and they may very well do in fact believe in the existence of God. But you got to wonder what size of God do they believe in? And what God is it? Who is he that they believe in? Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Period.
  • In the beginning, God created really did God really do that? If you believe that there’s not only uh the evidence that God created and that evidence exists today where things that are created or make up the literal sciences that we pursue in life from botany to astronomy in the beginning God created I believe that and so for the rest of the Bible everything else is nothing. It’s downhill.
  • It’s easy after that. So, here’s Exodus 14:29. Let’s see what you think about it. Um, I would encourage you to believe him. The same God of Exodus 14:29 is the same God of ex of Genesis 1:1. But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
  • Exodus 14:29. We’re talking about the great Exodus that grow that God brought the children of Israel through uh in crossing the Red Sea. And there are those who will say, “Yes, I believe God created everything.” Genesis 1:1. And then they go around with the dumbest but most pathetic, embarrassing, demeaning explanation as to how the children of Israel crossed over the Red Sea over to Sinai.
  • How did that happen? Well, there was a strong wind that blew really hard the the night before and it kind of it dried it up and they walked over on reads. There were reads that were laying down and they they kind of slushed their way through. Um, but you know, they made it and they try to create some ridiculously ignorant excuse or explanation as to how that could not have happened by supernatural means.
  • And of course, God, who is so good, makes people who he makes people who hold that view look incredibly stupid because the next thing that follows is that all of Pharaoh’s uh chariots and and soldiers perished when those two walls on either side of the children of Israel, those walls of water collapsed in and drowned and killed them all, horses included.
