You know why people are addicted to their screens? It’s because they’re on a quest for truth. They’re on a quest to figure out what is life about. They’re on a quest to to connect with somebody. Like you, we have the permission of the entire world because they’re glued to these people are on their phones while they’re driving. You know, it’s amazing. I’m uh I’m new to this.
I was just telling you like I don’t do a lot of podcasts and I’m so excited to be able to like to be able to roll with you. I Me too, man. You know, great. I’ve been listening to I’ve been listening to your stuff and I’m I was telling the students today I just like I don’t there’s no holes. It’s all like it’s just so tight.
That’s one of the the biggest compliments I think I could ever get, especially from somebody that I respect as much as you. Like that’s Yeah, dude. It’s huge. I just love it. Um, for me in my heart, like I I really I know you came out this morning, you kind of shared a little bit like people on this platform probably already know who you are.
Probably not, but this is I got to do a POV so I can remember this in my life point of view. Okay. Like first person point of view. I am like not good with this. I am not good with letters. No, not the not that. Just like I am technically challenged. It’s so good.
Even though we do videos and love to like film people being healed and come to Christ and I love it with all my heart, I’m like I’m technically challenged and you’re you’re not and I love this cuz I need to learn. You have so much that you do that I need to learn, man. And I I really am looking forward to the journey. You know what’s cool? I can I’ll just kind of go off and um share what God is doing on the internet right now.
Yeah, I would love to hear it. So, um, like I shared with you guys earlier, I, uh, went to film school at the University of Miami, went an a an atheist, had an encounter with God, leave film school with the Holy Spirit and a film degree, and no clue what I’m supposed to do with my career. Yeah.
But the Holy Spirit, when I was in school, I had come in and I had this like I was kind of dabbling in the new age. If anybody in the auditorium today or online has ever gone down that path, one of the things that you learn or you kind of accept is this idea of you being God. You’re God of your own life, right? Which is just obviously deception.
Yeah, that does not work. No, it doesn’t work. I’m a really I’m a really bad god and a really dumb God. And I I thought it was great for the longest time. But the idea was was that like life is a movie and I’m the director and I get to decide how this, you know, award-winning film is going to go.
And when I had this encounter with with Jesus, the Holy Spirit said to me, “Cap, there’s only room on the set of your life for one director, and you’re not him.” So good. And it’s time to get out of the director’s chair and be directed. And that was that’s the beginning of me learning what it means to live a life directed by the Holy Spirit. Yeah. And uh I’ll tell you what, God’s script for your life is way cooler than your script. Amen.
And so it’s this this amazing journey since then has been okay, what does it look like for me to take this gift that is the world has perverted of film making and content. And this is before anyone was like the term influencer wasn’t even a thing 12 years ago. And uh now it’s like if you were to pull together a handful of kids or high school kids and ask them what they want to be when they’re growing up, most of them would say they want to be a YouTuber. And I think of, you know, earlier today you did a teaching about identity. It’s because people don’t know
