We just went to death row on my tour and I went in there not knowing what kind of emotions I’m going to deal with. Oh wow. There’s opposition in my life when I went on this tour. Of course I went there. The devil likes you going on a tour talking to people that are actually to the place where they’re going to die.
And I’m I’m going in there like having to prepare myself to minister to them. I didn’t have to. They ministered to me. Hey guys, welcome to the podcast. I have a fire starter here. He’s an amazing man of God. I’m going to let him share. But before we do, I just I want to say this.
I said that, you know, if Jesus walked in, I don’t know that we’d recognize him, you know, cuz a lot of people make him out to be this pretty white guy with blue eyes. You know, you got the movie way back, I think it was 1974 or somewhere around there, Jesus of Nazareth came out and he did an amazing job. But it was this beautiful Jesus with brown hair and blue eyes and he played a great part. But the truth is is the Bible said that there was nothing comely about Jesus.
There was nothing attractive to bring people to him. There was nothing. And so we’re looking for some kind of figure, some kind of this, some kind of that. No matter who you are, no matter where you are, whether you got dreads, whether you got tattoos, no matter where you are, God wants to use you. and he looks good in you and on you.
So, I just wanted to preface it with that. God’s not looking at how you dress. He’s looking at who you really are and who God has created you to be. You know, you got Samuel that actually was looking for the next king. God told him to go to Jesse’s house. He goes to Jesse’s house and he’s looking from the tallest to the smallest.
And even though he got to the smallest, God said, “It’s none of these.” Cuz Samuel thought, “This one, surely he’s big. He’s tall. He’s beautiful.” No. And then all of a sudden he says, “Jesse, do you have another?” And he says, ‘I do, but he’s just a boy. He’s out with the sheep. He goes, “Bring him in.” So he brings this boy in with the, you know, that’s working with the sheep. And it’s amazing.
God says to Samuel, “I don’t look at the outward. I look at the heart.” And that’s really important. So God’s after your heart. And remember, your heart can take you places your brain can’t fit in Jesus’ name. Amen. Amen. Awesome. God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. So that’s it.
It will use somebody that looks just like me and be like what? Like even it blows my mind like Lord like thank you the God of the universe that created everything to say you know what you right there I have you in my mind. I’m going to use you. He open up doors that no man can shut. It’s incredible.
Like people be thinking like and I’m not trying to yap on or anything but people be thinking that you know when you come to Christ it’s it’s going to be just like a husband and a wife kids and stuff. But God opens up doors for us if if we really choose to follow him. He’ll open up doors for us to minister through, you know, to people to the nations, you know, and it’s been incredible in my life personally.
