there are only two kingdoms the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of Light those who do not belong to Christ are under the power of the kingdom of darkness those who belong to Christ have been rescued from the Dominion of darkness and brought under the power of a new jurisdiction the Kingdom of Heaven once you were dead because of your Disobedience and your many sins you used to live in sin just like the rest of the world obeying the devil the commander of the powers in the Unseen World he is the spirit at work in the hearts of those

who refuse to obey God all of us used to live that way following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature but by our very nature we were subject to God’s anger just like everyone else but God is so rich in Mercy and he loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sins he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead it is only by God’s grace that you have been saved it’s Ephesians 2 1 5 if you’re thankful for God’s delivering power comment I’ve been set free clearly you and I no longer belong

to the enemy or his kingdom the enemy can no longer touch us we know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning for God’s son holds them securely and the evil one cannot touch them that’s 1 John 5:18 the enemy can no longer own you inhabit you or have dominion over you still the enemy can attack you the way the enemy attacks the believer is quite different from the way he attacks the unbeliever spiritual warfare is different for the Christian from the way it is for the non-Christian in fact the unbeliever isn’t even

engaged in spiritual warfare they aren’t resisting the enemy or fighting against his will at all they’re just bound totally under the power of the enemy the unbeliever is subject to the power of curses demonic possession and the worst forms of demonic assault in severe cases of demonic influence it’s even possible for demons to directly physically harm the unbeliever the enemy attacks the unbeliever from a place of authority by contrast the enemy attacks The Believer from the desperate position of defeat though deception might make it seem

otherwise because you and I now belong to God the enemy is quite limited on how he can attack us now this doesn’t mean that we should be apathetic toward or ignorant of the devil’s strategies we must be engaged in combating demonic influence but in dealing with demons there’s a balance to be had some Believers are so obsessed with demons and demonic power that they minimize the holy spirit’s power and other believers are so skeptical of demonic power they leave themselves wide open to attack to help you find proper balance in dealing
