The Shield of Favour – WORD of the Kingdom
To live a life of spiritual triumph and fulfillment, believers must recognize that they have been delivered out of the kingdom of darkness and are now operating within a new Kingdom. These two systems, the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of God, possess distinct ways of speaking, thinking, and operating. The key to moving forward and achieving one’s destiny is consistently employing the words and principles of the Kingdom.
The Power of Words: Speaking the Kingdom
The enemy actively tries to use words of darkness to limit believers, waiting on those words because words are authority in the earth. For example, common phrases like “I’m catching a cold,” “you make me sick,” or “I’m dying to go” are words of darkness that hold people back from their destiny.
Conversely, believers must always speak the words of the Kingdom because these words empower them and move them forward.
- Sowing the Seed: Inside the believer is soil. When the believer sows the seed of the word of the Kingdom into this soil, the word will try to grow it and will eventually become flesh. If you sow a “house seed” (words aligned with getting a house), the word will become a house.
- Dominating Opposition: Speaking the word of the Kingdom would dominate anything that is out of line with heaven. Once a believer meditates on and internalizes the Word, seeing God with them is bigger than seeing the devil coming against them.
- The Power of Release: Once the prophetic word is released in faith, everything comes with it because in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word is God.
Essential Kingdom Principles and Practices
Many people in the church do things out of tradition without a proper revelation of why they are doing them, which causes these practices to lose their power. To operate on a supernatural level and triumph over every situation, believers must intentionally utilize the following spiritual keys:
1. Faith in the Blood of Jesus
Many have lost the revelation of the blood of Jesus. The blood is powerful and performs several vital functions:
- Divine Protection: The blood can be “pleaded over your child” before they go out, providing such protection that even a witch cannot get close to them.
- Cleansing the Conscience: The blood cleanses your conscience, purging all thoughts related to past abuse, molestation, or other traumas that might be affecting a person’s future and life.
- A Witness in Heaven: When a believer is in trouble and confesses what God has said, that confession rises to heaven, and the blood on the mercy seat also cries out the same thing. Because of these two witnesses, God will move on the believer’s behalf.
2. The Authority in the Name of Jesus
The Name of Jesus is not something to be “thrown around” lightly.
- Demons Tremble: When the Name is spoken, demons tremble.
- Atmosphere Disturbance: Simply saying “Jesus” can disturb the whole atmosphere.
- Activating Wholeness: The apostles, operating in faith, commanded a lame man to “In the name of Jesus rise up and walk,” and the man instantly leaped up. Peter clarified that it was not their own power or holiness that made the man walk, but Christ’s Name and faith in His Name that made the man whole.
3. Communion: Healing and Deliverance Time
Communion is much more than drinking juice or wine; it is specifically designated as healing time and deliverance time. Demons cannot stand communion.
4. The Power of Praise
Praise is highly significant, yet many who do not know God do not know its value.
- Silencing the Enemy: Praise will make the devil shut up. When the enemy is speaking negative thoughts into your mind (e.g., “You’re going to die,” “People don’t like you”), you need to start praising God.
- Launching Angels: Praise will launch angels on your behalf.
- Bringing God Down: Praise is the means by which you bring God right down into your situation.
5. Divine Favor: The Limit of Destiny
Favor is a powerful force that determines the limits of your destiny. If Jesus needed favor, believers also need favor.
- Outweighing Labor: One encounter with favor is worth a lifetime of labor.
- Supernatural Results: Favor produces supernatural increase, promotion, restoration, honor, increased assets, greater victories, recognition, and preferential treatment.
- Overcoming Opposition: Favor causes people who may not like you to give to you.
- Esther’s Example: The woman named Esther, despite not being allowed to approach the king unless summoned, put on her royal apparel and was met with such favor that the king offered her up to half his kingdom.
6. The Necessity of Prayer
Prayer is the mechanism through which the Kingdom’s authority is enforced.
- Prophetic Fulfillment: It was the Word of God—a prophetic utterance given by the prophet Micah centuries earlier—that compelled Caesar Augustus to issue a tax decree at the exact time Mary was great with child, thus ensuring Jesus was born in Bethlehem as prophesied. The word of God is so alive (quick and powerful) that it forces circumstances, such as government decrees, to align with God’s plan.
- Ordering Steps: Believers should not just “get up and start walking” but must pray first; this ensures their steps will be ordered by the Lord.
- Angelic Support: When believers pray, angels start working on their behalf and watch over the Word they pray to ensure it comes to pass.
- Power of the Word: When you pray, you must pray the Word of God, not traditional, self-pitying prayers like “Lord prop me up on the leaning side”. Once the prayer leaves your mouth, it’s a done deal. The devil tries to keep you from praying because he knows something is about to happen (e.g., money is about to come, sickness is about to leave).
