I hope that you are ready, like I am, ready to grow deeper with the Lord Jesus Christ. I mean, think about it. With all that’s going on in life, where can you make your investment that’s greater than investing spiritually in your walk with God? There’s no other place. Getting your life ready for what God wants to do next could be the most exciting thing.
I tell you what, it could be the deepest thing that you’ve ever experienced. I want you to know Jesus better. I want to know Jesus better. And to experience him more and better is to be in his word every day. I desire and I trust that you desire to live for other people intentionally to bless others that we might live listen selflessly in a way that we wind up forgetting about our own problems and letting God take care of them.
And I like you want to develop a consistent powerful prayer life and that is most effective by praying the word of God. Friends, listen. Over and over again, we call you to look at the scriptures and we teach from the Bible verse by verse. The scriptures call us to pray. The scriptures call us to love. The scriptures call us to worship and to connect with God always.
And my goal is to have a faith that is building up stronger and stronger all the time, grounded and mature. And I know that’s your desire as well. That’s why we’re together on this program. And so I’m encouraging you to stand firm through all of these challenges that life throws at you. And you will and you can stand strong in Christ.
I know you will because God is faithful. I know that I will because God is faithful. So grab your Bibles and let’s dive into the study, a grounded faith. So let me ask you, how are you doing in these descriptions of having a grounded or maturing faith as a Christ follower? We all need to grow. And I’m so grateful that God is patient.
But look at verse four. He goes on to say, “And he will be made to stand.” You and I will be made to stand for God is able to make him stand. You and I listen. I love this. God is able. Oh, I I never do enough. I never pray enough. I never give enough. I never I never What? Calm down. God is able to do this in your life.
I’ve told you for years, Christianity is not what you do. It’s what God does in you and through you. The greatest description of a Christian life is yield. Just yield. and to do for his good pleasure. Are you enjoying your Christian life? You should be. You should be enjoying even in this crazy world.
You should be enjoying the dynamic of your Christian life. Amen. And if you’re not, you’re doing it wrong. Stop trying to push a block up a hill. Just take a walk with God, will you? The Bible also says, listen in 2 Chronicles 16:9, the Bible says, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to him.
